The 819a is a continuation on our redesigns of the iconic 329a. We wanted to design a horn with the look and performance of the 329 but with a desired cutoff of 800 hz.
A true 800 hz. This horns lowest cutoff is calculated to be 402 hz. As a strong recommendation its always best to crossover at around 2x of the horns fc. The result is a horn that loads exceptionally well at 800 hz and has the look and performance of a 329a with a smaller footprint.
The tolerances, draft angles and thicknesses were optimized in with the help of a local foundry we work with who worked with us to optimize the design for sand casting.
