The Blu Scarpa project is grounded in shared values. A deep respect for craft, a love for meaningful objects, and a mutual admiration for art and Italian design. It is the meeting of two crafts, fashion and sound, that express the same ideas through different languages. Italian design sits at the core of both brands. With strong Italian roots, the foundation of the design draws heavily from the work of Ettore Sottsass. For this project, the Memphis movement became a key reference point, not as nostalgia, but as a framework for reimagining what a sound system rooted in that design language can be today.

The project reinterprets its spirit through a contemporary American perspective shaped by today’s cultural landscape, ways of living, and relationship to objects. Italian design meets an American vantage point.The design explores how form, color, and expression can coexist with clarity and performance, paying homage to the designers of that movement while translating their ideas into a present-day context. 

Both Blu Scarpa and LUPO operate within a delicate balance between functionality and design. This collaboration became an opportunity to push that balance further, creating a system that is visually bold, culturally grounded, and uncompromising in its function. Sound quietly shapes how we experience a space. This project brings attention to that invisible force.
